The Accidental Engineer
Biology to Binary
For years, my life followed one direction: biology books, NEET preparation, and the belief that a single exam decides everything. I took a drop year and gave it my full focus. Then the plan collapsed. A few weeks later, I was holding an admission letter for B.Tech ECE at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT). One path ended; another started without warning.
Day One
Walking into campus felt strange. During my drop year, life stayed quiet and repetitive. NSUT was crowded corridors, loud classrooms, and people who already looked comfortable. I did not. I came with one goal: stay focused, rebuild my basics in maths, and survive the first semester without getting buried under assignments, coding, and circuits.
The Unplanned Squad
That plan lasted less than a day. The most important part of college was not hidden inside orientation slides. It was the random people I met. Conversations started for small reasonsโsitting nearby, asking for directions, or just getting lost together. Slowly, strangers became the squad who made the campus feel smaller and stress manageable.
